Fog, Fog, and more Fog

I don't know about the rest of you but I am tire of the fog in the morning and evening. Yesterday I went to Newport News. I left in the fog in the morning and about 8 o'clock last night when I was returning, when I hit the Eastern Shore of Virginia, I encountered fog all the way home. The only people who weren't bother by the fog was the Perdue chicken trucks who about ran me over.

An Early Birthday wish for Peggy

An early happy birthday wish for Peggy. I think her birthday is the 30th but I will be out of town that day so Happy Birthday Peggy. Peggy is one of the few Wicomico County employees I have respect for, so a special birthday wish for her.

There is no joy in Mudville

"Oh, somewhere in this favoured land the sun is shining bright,
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light;
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout,
But there is no joy in Mudville—mighty Casey has struck out."
Excerpt from "Casey at the bat" by Ernest Lawrence Thayer.

Well as most people know this morning the Delmar football team lost to Caravel last night 41 to 15. Caravel will go on to play Concord for the Division II championship. My wife and daughter, and quite a few from Delmar, drove to Bear Delaware last night to watch the game. It was a gloomy heartbroken pair that enter my house late last night after the game. Delmar finished up at 10 wins 1 lost. Well there is always next year.
