Thumb Your Nose At Delmar

I drove back from Salisbury tonight and saw the drive way at Diamond Dream still had not been paved - in spite of squawking from the two town councils. The LeCates Building remains in the same shape it has been in for the last ten years - again a promise that someone is going to buy it and fix it up has never happened. I went to Food Lion to pick up milk and saw the street light is still out at Bonanza and State Street - something the town was going to have the bank who owns it fix and it still hasn't happen. I also noticed Delmarva Inn is still going full blast with out a business license from the town. I think the only people that pay attention to the Town of Delmar code enforcement powers is those who are honest citizens who had intended to fix their problems anyway. Absentee landlords and owners continue to thumb their nose at the town and the Town lets them get away with it.
Either some elected officials need to lose at the next elections or the Town Mgr. needs to lose her job.
Somebody needs to be accountable to the citizens!
Maybe someone should contact Wicomico County or the State of MD on this issue?!
It doesn't make a bit of difference if the town mgr is male or female.
I don't think your comment was very nice at all.
The point is, the TM needs to do the job and I don't think it's getting done and the elected officials the TM answers to is walking around with blinders on.
Delmar has been down this road before, letting the TM do whatever they want with no oversight haven't we?
The grass letters go out because they create income! And are easy to do. Just ride around, write down the address, look up the property owner online, and mail the letter. Registered mail....
Maybe we could terminate ALL of them and rely completely on volunteers. If the public knew all of the "brick walls" were gone, I bet the community would come out in droves to help bring their own back into order.
Don't think so??? How come all "sanctified" social programs (educational system, health care system, elder care system, children's welfare system, social service system,,, and you know whatever else,,,) ARE all assisted heavily by volunteers ALREADY....
These public servants need to be held accountable on their own merit.
Try a little harder at "work" tommorrow, and keep in mind how lucky you are to even have a job...
Furthermore, I stand my ground on the earlier post... Which "protected" one do you want to discuss first???
