Howard's 'None of the Above' Party

Watching the most recent round of television smear advertising for this "off year" election, Howard has decided to form his own political party. It will be called the 'None of the above' party. Now this isn't an original idea as it has been suggested a number of times, and God knows Howard has never had an original idea in his life. My party will not do any advertising or make any promises. We are just going to let the other parties self destruct with their advertising and unbelievable promises that everyone knows none of them will keep. Once the voter is in the voting booth they will remember the other parties advertising and just naturally pull the lever for anyone in the 'None of the Above Party' and vote for me.

This election is offering up some of the worst candidates, incumbents and challengers included, in our memory. Frankly, there's too many arrogant incumbents and crazy challengers out there. Some are so off the wall it's unbelievable they've gotten as far as they have. If they were elected it truly would be a case of the lunatics running the asylum or maybe it already is. I guess if they were voted out of office or not voted into office, they could run for the Laurel School board as that group seems to be made up of lunatics.

This country, state, and town needs elected leaders who can look at real facts (not make them up out of thin air), who are knowledgeable (too many really aren't smarter than a fifth-grader but I would be happy with that if they had any common sense), and who are willing to compromise and more interested in finding workable solutions to the nation's problems than just exercising personal power. We need an opportunity on the ballot to tell the parties "no thanks, try again until you get it right."

Right now, I think "None of the Above" would win in half the races in Delaware, so remember come election day vote for the 'None of the Above' party. We promise nothing so you won't be disappointed in electing us.

Why didn't you run for an office?
