Basements are the key to saving lives
An interesting idea was posted by the KTVI-KPLR Staff in St. Louis, which compared the death toll between Alabama and other places hit by Tornadoes. They said Alabama houses don’t usually have basements, and when combine with a physically larger storm that extends for a mile, two miles wide and on the ground for hours at 300-mile -per-hour wind, a 250-mile-per-hour wind and you don’t have a basement to go to, you’re not coming out of that house.
