The September 2011 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting

The September 2011 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting was held tonight. It was a short meeting of mainly sign approvals. It was over with in about a half hour. The missing members were; William Boyan, and David Ring, Jr.

Among the item discussed were;


Lisa Cullen is opening a thrift store (L&A Super Thrift) at 38650 Sussex Hwy unit 1 (I think this is in the Boulevard Beer building where the previous Dollar store use to be) and requested sign approval. A favorable recommendation will be given to the joint council.


Susan Upole from the Delmar library requested approval to put a sign at the intersection of State street and Bi-State Blvd to indicate we have a library. A favorable recommendation was given. Tom Luffman said "anything to promote reading" and Carl Anderton did a me too.




Stuart Brittingham requested sign approval for an auto repair garage at the old bread company building by little Red Hen (500 Bi-State Blvd) It will be called Brickyard Garage.

With Bunky and Carl running for election it was no wonder they said said "anything to promote reading" and Carl Anderton did a me too'. Interestingly enough Dr.Ring and his wife are out of town for the election. If you want to promote reading to your kids simple solution READ TO THEM.

For those of you who want to know why I was not in attendance it was because I was watching WiHi kick Eastons 8u*** 60- o Hopefully it will not rain all over Delmar home game Saturday, but that is why they make washing machines and tide
