Handicap Sidewalk Corners

Recently an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) curb ramp was installed on the corner of First and Jewell.  It is part of the street renovation work being done.  An interesting effect has shown itself with the recent rains.  As the water backs up in the street now not only is the street flooded but  the sidewalk is now flooded over.  We didn't have that problem before, when ADA was not a part of my life.  Another government improvement that is lowering the quality of my life.

I have the same problem Another government run agency screwing things up. I love the 3 inch thick sheet of ice that forms on the corner sidewalk now due to these ramps not to mention the slippery slope the new sidewalk down to the ramp itself make when its icy. Hey at least it has a great potential to create more handicapped people when one breaks a hip trying to navigate it.
