DELAWARE LAW ENFORCEMENT TORCH RUN 2015

The 29th annual Delaware Law Enforcement Torch Run benefiting the Special Olympics will begin on Wednesday June 10 in Rehoboth but the real event is on Thursday at 6 AM June 11th when the Delmar Police Department will lead off the run that will end in Newark on Friday .  The "Flame Of Hope" torch will be carried from Delmar to the opening ceremony of the summer games at Bob Carper Center Univ. of Delaware.  Usually there are none to few spectators at 6 AM to see this event, since this may be the last run for Delmar Police Chief Hal Saylor and Lt. Robt Remo, as they will retire in July,  it would be nice if the town would turn out for it.  Hal has 34 years of service and Remo has 27 years of service.
