Delmar woman charged for two thefts from Traveler's Motel

DELMAR, Md. -
A Delmar woman has been charged, after she apparently went into her ex-employer's office, and stole money and a tablet
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says back in March, an investigation into rent money that was missing from the Office of the Traveler's Motel in Delmar. Motel Management reportedly found the money missing, and say that Lisa Marie Wilkins, became the focus of the investigation, after she said that she collected the rent money from three tenants, put the money in her pocket and then somehow managed to lose or misplace it. Authorities say the money was never found, and neither was 32-year-old Wilkins. A warrant was taken for her arrest.
In July 2015, Investigators say Wilkins went back to the motel, while management was away, and went into the office using a key, that she apparently still had, before taking cash from the drawer, and a computer tablet. Deputies reportedly later found the stolen tablet at a local pawn shop, and learned that Wilkins was the one who sold it. They then got a second warrant for Wilkins' arrest.
On September 30, Wilkin was reportedly seen on property near the motel, and Deputies were able to arrest her. She was charged with two counts of theft under $1,000, and burglary second degree.
During an initial appearance, Wilkins was ordered to be held on a $23,000 bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center. Wilkins apparently also goes by the name Lisa Marie Swift.
